Meet Alycen

Alycen Parsons, MS, RD, CLT

Alycen became a Registered Dietitian after receiving her master’s degree in Nutritional Science from California State University, Long Beach and her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

Prior to pursuing a career in dietetics, Alycen attended the Culinary Arts program at Santa Barbara City College where she honed her skills for cooking and recipe development. This now translates in her practice where she is passionate about providing healthful and tasty meal ideas for clients, with special attention to food sensitivities using the MRT test.

Alycen began her dietetics career as a Clinical Dietitian and is now focused on specializing in Integrative and Functional Medical Nutrition Therapy. As part of her graduate program, Alycen explored the connection between nutrition, body image and disordered eating where the mind-body connection became evident. This sparked a love for promoting healthy minds and bodies while helping client’s with their individual health concerns.

Outside of work you can find Alycen on a hiking trail, curled up with a good book or movie, or in the kitchen creating new recipes.
